C-Hope has two methods of offering support.
(1) The C-Hope backpack is an ideal way to prepare for surgeries, doctor’s appointments or chemotherapy treatments. The backpack includes a fleece, devotional materials, and a book written by a physician who has experienced cancer, inspirational books for patients/families/caregivers, and a scripture card case that can fit in your pocket plus a C-Hope First Aid Booklet. This is an ideal gift for a cancer patient.
The contents will offer hope, comfort and encouragement. Fill out an order form which is located below. Order forms are also available at the Connection Centers. It is imperative that the patient information section be filled out so that the ministry can reach out and keep up to date with the patients and families prayer needs. It is also helpful for the patients to know that they can have a cancer survivor to talk with if they so desire. Our usual way of reaching out first is through email. Then the patient can decide how they would like to keep in touch.
(2) Prayer support. C-Hope has special volunteers that receive the prayer request and have committed to pray for each patient/family /caregiver. All request will remain confidential.
If a patient/family or caregiver fills out a request on the Connection Card those prayer request will be forwarded to Susan Sivard who will then notify the Cancer Prayer Team. You can also contact the ministry. These requests will remain confidential. Updates should also be emailed. We cannot communicate how important it is to update the ministry with any updates regarding the patient/family/caregiver so the team can pray effectively. For example complications with surgery, reactions to chemo, extra procedures that may be needed, turns for the worst etc. When you want your prayer request removed just notify C-Hope through an email. If the patient/family/caregiver does not have email you can call South Tampa Fellowship at 813-251-1515 and the appropriate persons will be notified of your request.
